TR1 — Tractors, agricultural self-propelled machines, universal self-propelled machines, excavators, loaders, and special self-propelled machines with a total weight up to 7500 kg
TR2 — All tractors, agricultural self-propelled machines, universal self-propelled machines, excavators, loaders, and special self-propelled machines
TR3 — Forest machinery, excavators, loaders, and special self-propelled machines
TR4 — Road construction machinery, bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and special self-propelled machines
To register for courses: Passport or ID card and driving license
For exams at VTUA:
– Passport or ID card
– Present a driving license (if available)
– Medical certificate with the note 'Agricultural machinery' (service available at the driving school)
– Present a first aid course certificate if you have never had a driving license (service available at the driving school)
– Course completion certificate (Apmācības karte)
– When receiving the driving license, submit one photo for the document (3x4 cm).
Traffic regulations theory exam: 15,00 €
Operating theory exam: 15,00 €
Driving exam: 35,00 €
Use of agricultural machinery in the driving exam (included in the training fee): 0,00 €
Driving license: 20,00 €
Driver data registration: 8,40 €
The driving training permit can be obtained at any CSDD branch that offers driver qualification services
You must bring with you: Passport or ID card and medical certificate

Minimum age to obtain the category:
TR1 - 15 years
TR2, TR3, TR4 - 16 years
Minimum number of driving hours under the VTUA program:
TR1 and TR2 - 8.5 hours
TR3 - 10 hours
TR4 - 6 hours
To obtain a tractor vehicle category, you must pass::
1. Theoretical exam on traffic rules and road safety (Traffic Rules Exam)*(24 questions/ 30 min./ 2 errors)
2. Theoretical exam on the safe operation of tractor vehicles (Operation Exam)(10 questions/ 10 min./ 1 error)
3. Driving exam
* - The person is exempt from the Traffic Rules exam if they hold a tractor vehicle, C1, or C category license
